James has over 40 years’ experience in Business Management and Financial Services. He has held a number of director and senior executive positions with major financial Institutions.
He owned and managed a highly successful Consulting Company for over 20 years.
Prior to forming Transition Partners, he was CEO of Next Rural. A national specialist Succession Planning organisation.
James has had many articles published on Succession Planning and is a regular keynote speaker on the subject.
James was chosen by Rabobank to present at the Rabo Client Council Business Transition & Succession Planning sessions held throughout Australia.
He is also a session leader on Succession Planning at Rabobank’s prestigious Executive Development program held at Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
James is an accredited mentor for the Queensland Government's "Mentoring for Growth" program.
James is based in Victoria and Queensland.
Joe has over 35 years’ experience in a range of industries including information technology, financial services, aviation and business consulting. He has held senior executive roles with Norwich Union and Challenger Financial Services as well as owning and operating his own business ventures.
Joe currently provides consulting services to a wide array of clients from large corporates through to SMEs. He is one of a selected few consultants recommended by the State Government of Victoria to assist businesses with grant applications and his services have also been utilised by the Frankston City Council’s Economic Development Department to mentor local businesses and assist with strategic planning.
His areas of specialty include business management, information technology, workflow management, business strategies, marketing and financial management.
Joe is based in Victoria.
Ric became a partner in the major accounting firm, Grant Thornton in 1976. Ric served as the International Practice partner for Grant Thornton International and also as the Sydney firm’s Managing Partner for seven years.
Ric’s passion is working with privately owned businesses, many of which are farming families. This passion led to Ric being one of the founders of Next Rural.
When Ric is not at work, he enjoys running his cattle property in the Southern Tablelands.
He is based at our head office in Sydney, however he works with farming families and regional businesses throughout Australia.
Prior to being one of the founders of Next Rural, Ric was a Director of Next Rural for 13 years and has focused on providing succession planning and other advisory services.
Ric is based in NSW.
Based in Victoria, Peter has extensive experience as a trusted legal adviser to
businesses and individuals. His work covers a broad range of areas and industries:
mergers and acquisitions, leasing, property sales and purchases, employment,
and succession and estate planning.
Alongside his work with Transition Partners, Peter is the founder of 3P legal, a law
firm with a passion for helping people to prosper. 3P Legal is part of 3P
Corporation , a group of likeminded professional service providers across
accounting and tax, financial planning, property leasing and sales and finance.
Outside of business, Peter enjoys spending time with his wife Kelly and kids, Jack
and Ella, and maintaining an active involvement in his church.
Brien Leibinger has over 30 years of legal experience. During that time, he has acted for a diverse range of clients, including business owners, farmers, professionals, independent retirees, publicly listed companies and multi-national companies.
Brien has expertise in commercial law and regularly acts in a wide range of commercial transactions. His in-depth knowledge of commonly used business structures also allows him to prepare tailored legal documents required by his clients to assist them with their commercial objectives.
Brien is admitted and practises as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and is admitted to practice as a legal practitioner in Victoria and Papua New Guinea. He is also recorded on the Register of Practitioners maintained by the High Court of Australia.
Brien is based in Queensland.
David is a Knowledge architect and educator. His passion is to improve understanding of the critical role knowledge has in organisations, in particular their competitive advantage.
He has been a principal of Knowledge Perspectives Since 2002, a consulting collaborative that specialises in the management and development of knowledge intensive organisations.
He is a Senior lecturer at the University of Adelaide Business School.
He has also been in private practice as a Chartered Accountant and held senior executive positions in the financial services industry.
He holds a Bachelor of Economics and an MBA.
His PhD in Knowledge Management researched the relationship between collaboration within organisations and their social network structure. Management actions that relate to both were also examined.
David is based in South Australia.
